Donald Trump has provided further clarity on the U.S. takeover of Gaza. He asserted that Gaza will be taken over by America and that Palestinians should move to Arab countries. Trump stated that Arab nations have a lower population, a shortage of workers, and vast amounts of land. He also emphasized that the cultural similarities between Arab nations and Palestinians would make integration smoother. The former president reiterated his position in a way that shocked the world.
Trump’s Gaza announcement is the latest in a series of bold statements following his presidency. “We will take over Gaza. We will neutralize unexploded bombs and weapons. The destroyed buildings will be removed. Our goal is to provide employment, housing, and ensure economic development in the region,” Trump declared.
He further claimed that Palestinians are returning to Gaza only because they have no other options. “Gaza is now a completely ruined place. Every building has collapsed. People are living under the debris of destroyed structures,” he added.
Meanwhile, Trump’s new announcement has drawn criticism from global powers, including U.S. allies. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially opposed Trump’s decision, stating that post-war governance of Palestine should be the fundamental principle. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian affirmed China’s belief in Palestinian sovereignty.
