Former security official and Indian-origin leader Kash Patel has been elected as the FBI Director by the Senate. He is the first Indian-American to hold this prestigious position.
Kash Patel (44) is known as one of former President Donald Trump’s close confidants. During Trump’s first administration, he served as an advisor to the National Intelligence and the Department of Defense. Born in New York in 1980, Patel has roots in Gujarat, India.
Expressing his gratitude, Patel vowed to rebuild the FBI into a “transparent, accountable, and justice-driven” agency. He emphasized his commitment to restoring public trust in the FBI and pledged to reshape it into an institution that the American people can take pride in.
Kash Patel holds a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Richmond, a law degree from Race University, and an additional degree in International Law from University College London.
