Slight improvement in Pope Francis’ health condition; says the Vatican

Pope Francis, who is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Rome, is showing notable improvement in his health, according to the Vatican. A blood test conducted yesterday confirmed his progress, and doctors stated that his fever has subsided. However, he will need to remain in the hospital for a few more days.

The Pope is being treated for pneumonia, but he has not been placed on a ventilator and is able to breathe on his own, the Vatican clarified. He has been admitted to the Gemelli Polyclinic hospital in Rome.

Pope Francis was hospitalized on the 14th and has been under medical care for the past seven days. During this time, prayers for his recovery have been held across the world, following calls from church leaders. Special silent adoration services were conducted in all parishes of the Archdiocese of Rome yesterday evening, with an hour dedicated to divine mercy prayers.
