Israel Rescues Indian Citizens Held Captive in the West Bank

Israel has announced the release of Indian citizens who had been held captive in the West Bank for over a month. The Israeli authorities located and brought back ten construction workers to Tel Aviv. The Indian Embassy stated that they had requested Israel to ensure the safety of the freed citizens.

Meanwhile, Israeli media also reported that ten Indian workers, who had been in captivity for over a month, were rescued overnight. The workers had initially traveled to Israel for construction jobs but were taken to the West Bank under false job promises. Their passports were then confiscated, and some individuals attempted to use them to enter Israel illegally, according to a report by The Times of Israel.

The rescue operation was a joint effort by the Israeli military and government ministries. The workers were moved to a secure location. Reports also indicate that the Israeli army discovered the illegal use of their passports and later returned them to the workers.
