Kerala University Art Festival has been converted into SFI Physical violence;KSU

Thiruvananthapuram: KSU State President Aloysius Xavier has changed Kerala University Art Festival to SFI Physical violence. The decision to stop the art festival is unfortunate. After months of training, students participate in youth festivals. SFI is not ready to commit to students.

Since the beginning of Kalothsavat, there has been a planned move to attack union office bearers of SFI-affiliated colleges and students participating in the competition by sending pictures to SFI-DYFI WhatsApp groups. He pointed out that on the basis of this, the students and union officials from Thumba St. Xavier’s, Nedumangad Govt. College, Varkala SN College, Thiruvananthapuram Mar Evanios College and Govt. Law College were beaten up.

Currently Mar Evanios College is on the first position with 234 points. There is a lead of 8 points. Attempts are being made to cancel the 20 points awarded earlier, no appeals will be allowed, and re-run the Margamkali and Thiruvathira matches, which won first place. He also alleged that ever since the union KSU, which had been oppressed by the SFI for 25 years, had taken over, there was a threat that Mar Evanios would not be allowed to lift the Kala crown this time.

Aloysius Xavier said that this is the 8th failed art festival in the history of the university and the approach of SFI which aims only for political profit without giving value to the artistic value of the artists is objectionable.

The KSU state president said that since the students and teachers were dropped in the university college on Artha Ratri, many untoward incidents like students being beaten up in the university senate hall and SFI turned the arts festival into violence.
