Khalistan separatist Nijjar killing video out

Ottawa: Canadian media has released footage of the killing of Khalistan separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Eight months after Nijjar’s murder, CBC News released the video of the murder. Nijjar, who was declared a terrorist by India in 2020, was shot dead on the evening of 18 June 2023 outside a Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia.

The Canadian media reports that Nijjar’s was a planned murder. CBS News obtained the video from The Fifth Estate, a Canadian investigative documentary series that airs on the CBS network.

In the video, Nijjar is seen getting into a gray truck from the parking area. A white car comes in front of the truck before the vehicle enters the road. In the video, the car stops across the truck and two men get out and fire into the truck. Royal Canadian Mounted Police have yet to make any arrests in Nijjar’s murder.

Nijjar was the head of the Khalistan outfit, Khalin Tiger Force, which led anti-India operations based in Canada. His selection as the president of a gurdwara in the Punjabi-dominated province of British Columbia was controversial. India has also requested the Canadian government to extradite him.
