The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health approved the three companies after a detailed evaluation of such claims. However, no agreement has been reached with them for the distribution of the vaccine. The Ministry of Health aims to start the vaccine distribution process in the country as soon as it is approved by the World Health Organization and other related organizations.
It plans to import 32 lakh doses of the vaccine. According to a report in the Al-Anba daily, the ministry will vaccinate 1.6 million people at a dose of two doses per person. Kuwaiti sources revealed, that the Ministry of Health is intending to import about 4 million doses of Coronavirus vaccine from 5 global sources. Alexander Gintsburg, director of Russia’s Gamaleya National Research Centre has revealed how the world’s first vaccine will work against the SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
