Media film giant Ramoji Rao passed away

Producer and media mogul Ramoji Rao passes away. He was 87 years old. He is the founder of the famous Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. He was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad last day due to physical discomfort.

Cherukuri Ramoji Rao popularly known as Ramoji Rao is an accomplished producer, educationist, journalist and media entrepreneur. He heads the Ramoji Group, which owns Ramoji Film City, the world’s largest film production hub, and Ushakiran Movies, a film production company founded in 1983.

He has won four Filmfare Awards and a National Film Award in Telugu cinema. The country honored him with Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian honor in 2016 for his contributions to journalism, literature and education.
Ramoji Rao started his career with a magazine focused on agriculture and farmers.
