Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that Narendra Modi is the first Prime Minister who has lowered the dignity of public speaking.
Manmohan Singh on Thursday appealed to voters in Punjab, two days before their polls, to ensure the defeat of the Bharatiya Janata Party, urging them to protect democracy and the constitution from repeated attacks by the BJP.
Modi is now targeting Punjab for withdrawing three agricultural laws. My dear citizens, India is at a critical juncture. With the looming final round of voting, we have one last chance to ensure that democracy and our constitution are protected from repeated attacks. Punjabis are warriors. We are known for our indomitable courage, inclusiveness, and innate belief in unity, harmony and brotherhood. Singh also said that those who insulted it should be defeated.
