New real estate rule comes in Qatar!

Qatar has launched a series of measures aimed at keeping illegal real estate agents out of real estate deals. The real estate scene in Qatar is a very active sector for many, including Malayalees. Authorities say the goal is to create a more organized legal environment for real estate transactions by preventing illegal transactions. The first batch of government-approved Qatari real estate agents was sworn in yesterday.

The first batch was sworn in before the Real Estate Brokers Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Justice. The purpose of this is to enforce the law relating to real estate and to provide legal protection and organization to the real estate brokerage business.

Asst., Department of Real Estate Registration and Authentication, Asst. Undersecretary Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi said the first batch was released after receiving the best government training in compliance with the law’s guidelines and standards. More than 60 real estate brokers have entered the industry. The Department of Real Estate Brokerage has started specialized courses to provide job-related training to real estate brokers.
