No permission for additional loans, negotiations with the Center failed

New Delhi. The state government’s negotiations with the center to take additional debt failed. Kerala has sought permission to borrow another Rs 19370 crore. But Chief Secretary Dr V Venu said that this was not accepted by the Central Government. The discussion took place following the Supreme Court directive.

It has been proposed that Kerala needs an additional 19370 crore rupees. The secretary of the finance department checked the matter but informed that he could not agree with it. 13608 crore after the Center agreed that Kerala was entitled to borrow, the court directed the state to pay it.

The court directed that the Center and Kerala should discuss the matter of taking more amount. The Supreme Court will hear the case again on Monday.
