A Salafi mosque in Pathanam offered special prayers for rain when the state is scorching in the summer heat. The community of believers gathered in the church yard. The church officials said that the united prayer is with the wish that the rain will bring relief to the whole community.
The community of believers gathered in the church yard for prayers. Rasheed Maulavi said that he prayed to God, the owner of rain, to end the severe heat and drought. He said that it is desired that all human beings and living beings benefit from their prayers.
Meanwhile, several parts of the state received light rains, but that did not bring relief from the scorching heat. The Central Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be more heavy rains in the coming days.
