Kochi: 4 firearms were seized near Aluwa during the search conducted on the basis of a secret information received by the Alangad anti-terrorist squad. The raid was done with the help of Aluva West Police and Special Squad of SP.
Inspection was done in 4 houses in this area. The guns were seized from Riaz’s house. Police sources said he is suspected to be a gang member of a notorious gang leader in the region. Seized items include 2 revolvers, 2 pistols and 2 knives.
9 lakh rupees have also been seized from Riaz’s house. Riaz was under police surveillance for a long time. Riyas was taken into custody for questioning.
