Kollam: Patient attacked doctor during examination in OP. Binu (34), a resident of Shastamnada, attacked Dr. Linita P. Merlin of Madathara Health Center in Chithara Panchayat.
The incident took place during the inspection on Thursday morning. People who were nearby said that when Binu reached the hospital, he would push away the people standing in line at the OP and rush to the doctor, spit on his body and assault him.
The hospital staff rushed and caught Binu and handed him over to the Chitara police. The police said that Binu, a coconut worker, was under the influence of alcohol.
