Canberra: The attack on the bishop in the church in Australia has been confirmed as a terrorist attack. A 16-year-old boy was arrested after attacking the bishop, priest and churchgoers during mass at the Assyrian Christ the Good Shepherd Church.
Police say four people suffered “non-life-threatening” injuries. The assailant was also injured. The Australian police say that this is a religious terrorist attack. The investigation is ongoing. The young man approached the bishop who was preaching in front of the believers gathered in the church and used a knife to stab him several times. Bishop was injured in the face and neck.
The video footage has also been released. One of Australia’s most famous bishops, the victim of the attack, Mar Marri Emmanuel. He is also a viral star on TikTok and other social media platforms.
Another attack took place in Sydney the other day. The assailant reached the shopping mall and stabbed the common people. Six people were killed in the incident. The assailant was shot dead by the police. The reason for the attack is yet to be ascertained.
