Dhaka: Protesters forced their way into Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official residence in Dhaka, where they ransacked and vandalised. The gang stole everything from the bungalow. It is reported that saris, teacups, TV sets and even pictures were stolen from the residence.
Many videos and pictures are circulating on social media. However, none of these have been confirmed. Footage of jubilant protesters ransacking Hasina’s house has been circulating on X. Also has a picture of a man wearing a saree, said to belong to the former prime minister.
AFP reported that the protesters vandalized the houses of people close to Sheikh Hasina. They also vandalized the statue of Hasina’s father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Protesters have taken over the streets across the country. Footage of them celebrating Hasina’s resignation has also surfaced.
