Kochi: Another robbery at gunpoint in Kochi. The incident took place at Metro Lodge in Ernakulam South at around 11 pm last night. The robbery was done by a three-member gang at gunpoint. The accused have been arrested. A lottery seller was living in the lodge. Earlier there was a dispute between the accused and the lottery seller.
The dispute was related to parking. A group of three came to the lodge and threatened them with guns. Cash and mobile phone were also seized. The accused stole an iPhone worth Rs 65,000 and Rs 5,500.
As the lottery vendor grabbed for the phone, one of the accused grabbed his hand. At this time, another person hit him on the face with an iron box. The nose of the lottery vendor was injured. He is undergoing treatment in the hospital. The police arrested the three accused.
It is reported that the accused are running a spa in Kochi. Incidents of gun threats are increasing in Kochi. There was a shooting at the bar recently. The accused opened fire on the bar staff. A team of four did the work.
