Bone from Biryani Lodged in Lung Cavity Removed After One and a Half Years

While eating biryani, a piece of bone got stuck in the lung cavity. Abdul Nasser, an autorickshaw driver, is also a well-known singer in the country. He is a fifty-nine-year-old native of Kottaikkal Thenala, Malappuram. A year and a half ago, he attended the send-off meeting of a teacher friend and ate a special biryani made with lagon chicken.

There was great difficulty and pain while taking down the food. Biryani was brought down with pain in a way. Relieved that it had gone down to the stomach. He went to the nearest hospital and took an X-ray to rule out the suspicion. The doctors said it was fine and sent it back.

Although the incident happened a year and a half ago, severe cough, shortness of breath and traces of blood in the sputum were discovered two weeks ago. Went to the hospital in Tirur and got a CT scan. A scan was taken. It was found that something was stuck in the lung cavities. The doctors there advised me to see Pulmonologist Judo Vachaparampil in Thrissur.

Later Dr. Dr. Amala Professor of Pulmonology came to Amala Hospital to perform bronchoscopy. Thomas North and Dr. Subham Chandra also performed bronchoscopy and removed the large piece of bone stuck in the lung.
