Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico Shot, One in Custody

Bratislava: Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot. The incident happened when he was returning after attending a function in Handlova. Fico was shot in the abdomen. He was immediately shifted to the hospital. It is indicated that Fico’s injury is not serious.

International media reported that he was conscious when he was brought to the hospital. The police have taken the youth who is suspected to be the attacker into custody. He is being interrogated. Handlova is about 150 km away from the capital city of Bratislava. It is reported that the assailant shot the Prime Minister four times. Slovakian media also reported that the prime minister was out of danger.
