Search intensified for accused who assaulted 10-year-old girl in Kasaragod

The search continues for the suspect who kidnapped and raped a ten-year-old girl who was sleeping inside a vacant house in Patannakkad, Kasaragod. The girl was abducted at around three in the morning yesterday and left behind after stealing her gold earring.

The child’s statement is that the accused is a thin person who speaks Malayalam. The police have divided into different teams and are continuing the investigation. Kannur Range DIG Thomson Jose called a special meeting yesterday and reviewed the progress of the investigation.

At three in the morning, the boy’s grandfather opened the kitchen door of the house to milk the cow. This is how the child was kidnapped. At first, it was thought that the girl had been beaten up and robbed of the golden rule. But when the medical report came, it was realized that the child was a victim of sexual assault.

The child is now in Kanhangad District Hospital. It was found that she was a victim of sexual assault during the examination conducted here. The hospital authorities stated that the health condition of the child is satisfactory. Locals found the girl abandoned by the assailant with injuries on her eyes and neck in the morning.

From the beginning, there were suspicions that someone was behind the incident who clearly knew that the kitchen door was regularly opened early in the morning to milk the cow and was closed only after milking.
