Mammootty’s movie Turbo opened in theaters empty-handed. It is reported that Turbo earned more than two crore rupees in Kerala alone on Sunday. It should be understood from the collection reports that the film, which collected 6 crores on the opening day alone, is maintaining a good collection even after 11 days.
The film completed 11 days in theaters till Sunday. The Mammootty company informs that the film has crossed 70 crores from the global box office so far. The film did well in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and foreign markets including Saudi Arabia. Turbo has achieved the best collection ever for a Malayalam film in Saudi Arabia.
After Pokiriraja and Madhuraraja, Vaishakh and Mammootty reunite for Turbo. ‘Turbo’ is the fifth film produced under the banner of Mammootty’s company. The film tells the story of Jose, a jeep driver. Kannada actor Raj B Shetty and Telugu actor Sunil are playing the other important roles in the film, which features Mammootty as Jose. The background music is composed by Christo Xavier and his team. The film is distributed by Wayfarer Films and overseas distribution by Truth Global Films.
