Titanic Door Prop that Saved Rose Sells for $718,750

Titanic, released in 1997, is one of the classic films in the history of world cinema. Directed by James Cameron, the film was a blockbuster at the time. A piece of the ‘doorplate’ that Kate Winslet clung to in the final scenes of the movie ‘Titanic’ as Rose and survived has been sold at auction for $7,18,750 crore (Rs 5.99).

One of the most talked about parts of Titanic is the piece of the door that Rose uses to escape in the final scene. Jack places Rose, who is drowning in the sea, on the door frame and she escapes.

Even recently, many have discussed on social media that if Rose had carried Jack with her in that door, he would have survived. Now this door is being discussed again. The door is back in the limelight after the Treasures from Planet Hollywood auction. The door was sold at auction for a huge amount. The door fetched $718,750.

If we look at it in Indian rupees, it will be around six crores. The chiffon dress worn by Rose on Titanic fetched $125,000 at auction. The target is Rs. U.S. The auction company Heritage Auctions has auctioned various items from Hollywood movies including this one.
