Siddharth’s death, documents have been handed over to the CBI

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has handed over the documents to the CBI for investigation into the death of Siddharth of Pookod Veterinary University. Special Cell DySP Srikanth personally reached Delhi and handed over the documents to the Ministry of Personnel.

Although the government notification of handing over to the CBI came out on the 9th of this month, the CBI was informed about this on the 16th. After Siddharth’s father Jayaprakash met the Chief Minister, the investigation was handed over to the CBI. Siddharth’s father had come forward saying that the government is deliberately delaying the CBI investigation.

The delay in handing over the case to the CBI was criticized by the family as well. The father raised severe criticisms including that the government is trying to save the SFI accused by delaying the case as much as possible. Siddharth’s father had visited Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Rajiv Chandrasekhar citing the delay in the CBI investigation, expressing concern over the incident.
