Lok Sabha Election : Kerala records 70.35% Voting

Heavy polling has been recorded in Vadakara Lok Sabha constituencies since morning. In Kozhikode Lok Sabha constituency, 73.76 percent and 74.90 percent in Vadakara constituency registered their votes. There was a long line of voters in the booths even late at night. In many booths, polling continued till late at night after six o’clock. Polling was widely delayed in the booths of Vadakara constituency.

In the Lok Sabha elections, Kerala has written the verdict in all 20 constituencies. The voting in the state was completed after more than four and a half hours passed after the stipulated time limit. 70.35% polling was recorded in the state. It is expected to rise when the final figure comes.

The highest turnout is in Kannur (75.74%). Pathanamthittai (63.35%) is the least. The polling percentage crossed 70 in eleven constituencies. Thiruvananthapuram 66.43%, Attingal 69.40%, Kollam 67.92%, Pathanamthitta 65.88%, Alappuzha 74.37%, Kottayam 65.59%, Ernakulam 68.10%, Chalakudy 71.68%, Thrissur 72.1% 1%, Palakkad 72.68%, Alathur 72.66% %, Ponnani 67.93%, Malappuram 71.68%, Kozhikode 73.34%, Wayanad 72.85%, Vadakara 73.36%, Kannur 75.74% and Kasargod 74.28%.
