New York: U S President-elect Donald Trump has reiterated his uncompromising stance on immigration policy. Trump held discussions with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo regarding immigration issues, during which Sheinbaum reportedly agreed to take steps to curb migration into the United States through the Mexican border, according to Trump.
Previously, Trump had warned of imposing additional tariffs on goods imported from Mexico, a move that added pressure on bilateral discussions. The recent talks and statements underline Trump’s commitment to enforcing stricter border controls and tackling migration challenges.
