A total of 22,217 bonds were sold, SBI has handed over the information to the Election Commission

New Delhi: A total of 22,217 bonds were sold, of which 22,030 were used by political parties. SBI has handed over information to the Election Commission in the case related to the election bond. The action followed the Supreme Court’s warning that contempt of court action would be taken. SBI filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court informing about this.

The Election Commission will publish this information on the website on the 15th. SBI has not collated the information about whose money each party has received. An application was filed in the Supreme Court seeking an extension till June 30.

According to SBI, the information was handed over to the Election Commission on a pen drive and the password was given to the two PDF files in it. The pen drive contains information from April 2019 to February 15, 2024. The Election Commission has decided to form a special committee to verify the information.
