Kollam: AC explosion in Shastamkota accident. The AC exploded and the house was partially gutted in Mundukulanji area north of Peruvali Idakkad. The AC in Denny Sam’s house in Palliparam was bursting. This time the family went to the church for prayers and a major disaster was averted.
The house was partially gutted when the AC exploded. The shutters, windows and bed of the room were completely burnt. The incident took place on Saturday night at around nine o’clock. Residents of the area say that the explosion occurred with a loud noise and the entire house was covered in smoke.
Local residents tried to put out the fire but failed, and the fire brigade from Shastamkota brought the fire under control. The initial conclusion of the fire department is that the AC was not turned off when the family went out or it was too cold to cause the explosion.
