Pathanamthitta: T Anuja has taken charge as the first woman Dafedar in Pathanamthitta. A native of Adoor Manjali, T Anuja is the new Dafedar of Pathanamthitta District Collector S Premkrishnan. Anuja is the second woman Dafedar in the state.
K. C. G. of Alappuzha Collectorate is the first woman Dafedar in Kerala. The Collector’s Dafedar is the senior office attendant in the district. Anuja, who has been in government service for 20 years, was an office attendant at the Adoor Reserve Office.
Anuja was promoted to this position after Dafedar G Shibu was promoted. The Dafedar’s main job is to make arrangements for the Collector in the chamber, let visitors into the chamber, and give them instructions. There is no time schedule for the job. If the Collector comes to the office, the Dafedar must also be present, regardless of whether it is night or day. Her husband Vineesh is also a government employee.
