Attingal Double Murder Case: Bail Granted to Second Accused Anushanth

Delhi: Bail granted to Anushanti, the second accused in the Attingal double murder case. The bail was granted by the Supreme Court. The court also said that the trial court can decide the conditions.

Anusanthi’s request was to cancel the sentence and grant bail in the event of losing the sight of one eye. The Supreme Court has not yet decided the petition to cancel the sentence. She is serving her sentence in the Thiruvananthapuram Women’s Jail. The state had requested that Anusanthi not be granted bail. The case alleges that Nino Mathya, the first accused in the case, hacked to death Anusanthi’s three-and-a-half-year-old daughter and mother-in-law in a conspiracy with Anusanthi.

On April 16, 2014, Nino Mathew brutally murdered Anusanthi’s daughter and mother-in-law by entering their home in broad daylight. Nino Mathew and Anusanthi were employees and friends of Technopark. The murder was committed to avoid obstacles in his ability to live together with Anusanthi. Anusanthi’s husband Lijeesh was also seriously injured in the attack.
