BJP Accuses Priyanka Gandhi of Concealing Details in Affidavit for Wayanad Candidacy

New Delhi: The BJP has raised fresh allegations against UDF candidate Priyanka Gandhi from Wayanad, claiming she concealed details of cases against her husband, Robert Vadra, in her election affidavit. BJP National Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia argued that Priyanka disregarded the Supreme Court directive to disclose any criminal background and demanded her candidacy be disqualified.

According to her affidavit, Priyanka declared assets of ₹78 crore jointly with Vadra, with her personal wealth at ₹12 crore, which includes a farmhouse and agricultural land worth ₹2.1 crore in Delhi’s Mehrauli, a property in Shimla valued at ₹5.63 crore, along with 550 grams of gold and ₹30 lakh in silver. Vadra’s assets were reported at ₹66 crore. However, the BJP claims his actual net worth is significantly higher, referencing figures from central agency investigations against Vadra for alleged illicit wealth accumulation.
