Chief Minister’s gunman questioned in case of thrashing of protestors during Navakerala bus journey

Ernakulam: Chief Minister’s gunman Anil was questioned in the case of beating up Youth Congress workers during the Navakerala bus journey. The group brutally beat up the protestors after the police took them into custody. The victims approached the court after filing a complaint but were not ready to file a case. Following this, a case was registered against the gunman as per the order of the court.

The crime branch DYSP interrogated the gunman. The crime branch said that the action was taken after examining the evidence including CCTV and channel footage.

The incident took place in Alappuzha on December 15. A group led by the chief minister’s gunman surrounded and beat up the Youth Congress workers who were shouting slogans and protesting when the Navakerala bus was passing by.

After there was no investigation or questioning in the incident, the complainants approached the court again. The case was then handed over to the District Crime Branch. The crime branch team has informed that further investigation is progressing.
