Kochi ∙ Argument while shifting the body of late CPM leader MM Lawrence to the hospital. Asha was forcibly removed by her daughter. Dramatic developments in Ernakulam Town Hall followed the order of the High Court.
After the court verdict, Asha and his son stood near the dead body. Women members of CPM also came here shouting slogans. Asha hugs the dead body saying that she will not be allowed to take it away. With this the CPM members backed down. Within seconds, Asha’s son was forcibly removed from the dead body. When there was an attempted assault, other relatives intervened and controlled the incident.
Meanwhile, Asha also fell to the ground. When the body was placed in the town hall for public viewing in the morning, Asha had arrived and returned later. After the court verdict came, Asha again came to the town hall with her son. Asha wants Lawrence to be buried in Kalur Katrikadav St. Francis Church where his mother had buried the baby. The medical college authorities may take a decision on the body as soon as possible.
