Alappuzha: The District Collector has ordered an inquiry into the destruction of posters of NDA candidate Sobha Surendran. Alappuzha SP has been given the charge of investigation. The action is based on the complaint filed by Sobha Surendran to the Election Commission.
Posters and flux boards were found destroyed near Haripad RK Junction and at the bus stand. The incident took place on the 29th. Instead of Shobha Surendran’s head, a picture of CPM candidate’s head was cut and pasted.
Shobha Surendran had alleged that AM Arif’s special group was behind the destruction of his posters. Shobha Surendran had also informed that the flux boards will still come in the torn places and legal action will be taken.
