Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan distributed police medals on Kerala Piravi Day, but the medals were riddled with spelling errors. Nearly half of those who received the medals were given ones with these mistakes.
Despite the significant errors, the Home Department, which operates under the Chief Minister, failed to notice or rectify them. The medals were distributed during a ceremony held at the SAP Ground in Thiruvananthapuram, where 264 police officers were honored.
Meanwhile, due to an ongoing investigation related to the Thrissur Pooram controversy, the medal that was to be awarded to ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar, who had responsibilities for maintaining law and order, has been temporarily withheld.
