Final report in Parassala Sharon murder case will not be cancelled, Supreme Court rejects plea

Parashala Sharon murder case accused Greeshma hit back. The Supreme Court rejected Greeshma’s plea to quash the charge sheet in the case. Greeshma’s main demand in the petition was to dismiss the charge sheet. Greeshma pointed out that the charge sheet was filed against the rules of CRPC. The final charge sheet to be submitted by the Station House Officer, Circle Inspector, was submitted by the DySP. Therefore, Greeshma pointed out in the Supreme Court that the charge sheet is legally unsustainable and has no validity. It was contended that the Crime Branch DYSP had no legal authority to file the final report.

Earlier, the High Court was approached in this regard, but the petition was rejected. Then Greeshma approached the Supreme Court with an appeal. Advocate Sriram Parakkat filed the petition for Greeshma. However, the Supreme Court dismissed the petition two minutes after the hearing. The action of the Supreme Court was by clarifying that it is a deep case and the charge sheet cannot be quashed like other cases. The Supreme Court also pointed out that there will be no action in favor of Greeshma.
