Governor Seeks Report from Chief Minister on Anwar’s Revelation, Viewing Phone tapping Incident with Utmost Seriousness

Thiruvananthapuram: Taking phone hacking seriously, Governor Arif Muhammad Khan has sought a report from the Chief Minister on MLA PV Anwar’s disclosure. The action was taken on the revelation that a group led by ADGP MR Ajith Kumar had hacked the phones of the Chief Minister, Ministers and MLAs. The governor also stated in the letter that there has been a serious violation of the law.

Alleging rampant phone hacking in the state, the MLA releases audio recordings revealing that he has hacked some phones. Arif Mohammad Khan said that this is a violation of the law and is against the instructions of the Supreme Court

There is a situation in the state where law breakers and law enforcers work in harmony. This creates suspicion among the people and raises questions about the governance of the state. This can never be accepted. The governor also said that a report should be given immediately about this. The Governor has issued a letter pointing out the steps taken in this regard and the need to take immediate steps.
