Ragging scenes at Kottayam Nursing College are out. The scenes show the complainant being tied up and harassed in the college hostel. He is being stabbed all over his body with a compass. The scenes also show injuries to his private parts. He is being stabbed repeatedly with a compass. Meanwhile, the student can be heard screaming in pain in the scenes. The student is screaming after applying body lotion to the injured area.
The arrested students are Samuel (20) from Munnilavu, Kottayam, Vivek (21) from Madukka, Nedungad, Vivek (19) from Pulpally, Wayanad, Jiva (19), Rijiljith (20) from Cherippadi, Manjeri, and Rahul Raj (22) from Karumarapatta, Vandoor. They have been suspended from the college. The college authorities said that a commission has been appointed to investigate. The incident came to light when the student, who was beaten up for not paying money to buy liquor the other day, informed his parents.
