THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In protest against the OTT screening, the theater owners’ association FEUOK will not screen Malayalam films from February 22. There is a need for producers to find a solution in matters including OTT release and movie agreement.
The agreement mentions that OTT release can be allowed only after 40 days of a film’s theatrical release. But breaking this, the film reaches OTT earlier. This is affecting theater arrivals significantly.The warning is that Malayalam films will not be screened in theaters from 22nd unless these issues are resolved.
