Washington: Jared Isaacman, the online payment billionaire and first private space traveler, has been nominated by newly elected President Donald Trump to be the next head of NASA. Isaacman, a co-chairman of the Government Efficiency Commission and one of Trump’s closest advisors, is a close associate of Elon Musk.
Isaacman (41), founder and CEO of Shift4 Payments, has strong ties with Musk’s SpaceX. Trump expressed his satisfaction with the nomination of Isaacman, a skilled businessman, philanthropist, pilot, and astronaut, as the Administrator of NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) on Truth Social.
Under the Polaris Program, a collaboration between Isaacman and SpaceX, Isaacman conducted a space mission. He spent $200 million to successfully complete the mission.
