High Court whether it is so difficult for the Policemen to obey the instructions to behave politely with the people

Kochi. Justice Devan Ramachandran whether it is so difficult for the policemen to obey the instructions to treat the people with courtesy. He made a strong criticism while hearing a contempt petition against a police officer in the case of insulting a lawyer at Alathur police station.

Be it a lawyer, a common man or a street person, every citizen needs to be respected. “The court asked,I am repeating this many times and for how long should I say this?”. The High Court had earlier said that work pressure is not a license to misbehave with people.

Whether it is a police officer or a judge, if you wear that uniform, you should behave in a way that suits your position. People have faith in that uniform. It does not mean exercising power over the people. It is not possible to give it if it is violated by saying that it is pressure.

Police are trained to withstand pressure. However, the High Court said that if the pressure is not bearable, then the job should be resigned and left.
