Kollam: The complainant in a harassment case against the Karunagappally Municipal Chairman has stated that no action has been taken by the CPM leadership despite filing a complaint. The complainant alleged that when she approached Chairman Kottayil Raju for assistance with her husband’s medical treatment, he spoke to her inappropriately. She claims she was mentally harassed for not yielding to his demands. The complainant, a temporary employee of the municipality, stated that she delayed coming forward due to fear regarding the incident that occurred a year ago.
However, Chairman Kottayil Raju asserted that the complainant is attempting to defame him through a baseless complaint. He stated that the truth will be revealed once the police investigation is completed, adding that he has not even contacted the complainant by phone. He mentioned that there had been some issues between employees, which is why the complainant was reassigned from her current position.
Raju further stated that the complainant has not approached him for help and has not visited his office. When asked if there are others behind the complainant, and if they are party members, he responded that he would address that later.
