Kerala Weather Alert: Isolated Thunderstorms with Rain and Strong Winds Expected

Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department has forecast that isolated places in Kerala are likely to experience rain with thunderstorms and strong winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour today. No alerts have been issued for any district today. Light to moderate rainfall is expected across all districts. The weather department also informed that from Wednesday to Friday, isolated places are likely to experience rain with thunderstorms. On Monday, Yellow Alerts were issued for Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, and Kannur districts.

Due to the possibility of high temperatures, the India Meteorological Department has declared a Yellow Alert for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts.

The weather department has warned that temperatures could rise to 37°C in Kozhikode and Palakkad, and to 36°C in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kannur, and Kasaragod. Due to high temperatures and humid air, these districts, excluding the hilly areas, are expected to experience hot and uncomfortable weather conditions.
