KSEB Disconnects Electricity of Government School

Palakkad: KSEB cut off electricity to Attapadi Agali Government School. The school has to pay Rs 53,201 for six months of electricity. The school with more than 2500 students is working under the district panchayat.

Prior to this, the school authorities have paid the dues of three months. At present, six months’ arrears are payable. This money is to be paid by the Zilla Panchayat. They are now bankrupt because of non-payment of dues.

But the explanation given by the Agli KSEB authorities is that the electricity connection has been disconnected because no action has been taken to pay the bill even after the arrears have stopped. The children are in trouble as the fuse is blown on a working day, Friday.
