KSRTC conductor denies knowledge of driver’s actions in Mayor Dispute

Thiruvananthapuram: In the dispute between Mayor Arya Rajendran and the KSRTC bus driver, the conductor said that he did not know whether the driver Yadu had shown sexual behavior. Conductor Subin, who was on duty at the time of the incident, gave a statement to the Cantonment Police.

Subin’s statement is that things are not clear as he was in the back seat. He did not know if the bus overtook the car. Subin has stated that he came to know only when there was a commotion. Yadu, a native of Nemam and a KSRTC driver, pointed out that mayor Arya Rajendran and others obstructed the official performance. The State Human Rights Commission had registered a case on Yadu’s complaint yesterday. The complaint is against Arya Rajendran, Sachin Dev and two persons known to have been seen. The Human Rights Commission also ordered that the Kerala Police, KSRTC MD etc. submit the investigation report within a week.

The complaint is that legal action should be taken against those who insulted the bus carrying passengers by stopping it in the middle of the road and obstructing official duties and against the Cantonment SHO who did not file a case in this regard. If check the cameras at the front of the bus, the incident will be known. However, the complaint also points out that a case was registered against him without conducting an investigation. The complaint also says that the SHO should be removed from the charge of investigation and investigated by another agency.
