Kuwait tragedy, Dead bodies of malayalis to reach Kerala today

The bodies of 23 Malayalis who died in the fire in Kuwait will be brought to Kochi today. The dead bodies will be comes to the Nedumbassery airport around 8:30 in the morning. Representing the state government, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and ministers will reach the airport to receive the body. The dead body will be brought in a special plane of the Air Force. The bodies brought to Nedumbassery will be taken to the homes of the deceased in specially arranged ambulances.

An investigation conducted by the Kuwait Fire Force has confirmed that the fire originated from the guard room of the building. The investigation report of the Kuwait Fire Force also states that the cause of the major accident was an electric short circuit in the building.

The Kuwait Fire Rescue Department informed that the emergency message was received at 4.28 in the morning and the rescue operation started within five minutes. The fire was brought under control within ten minutes after reaching the accident site. Still, all 45 people in the building were found dead. Four people were seriously injured and died on the way to the hospital.
