LDF Candidate Dr. P. Sarin Alleges Congress Conspiracy in Palakkad Hotel Raid

In response to the recent hotel room raids involving Congress leaders in Palakkad, LDF candidate Dr. P. Sarin has made strong statements, attributing the incident to Congress insider M. Shafi’s tactics. Sarin claimed that it was Congress itself that tipped off the police about black money being brought in, leading to the raid. He questioned why Congress leaders attempted to prevent the police from searching their rooms and demanded clarity on whether money had actually arrived there.

Sarin explained, “The police conducted the raid based on information leaked directly from Congress sources. It was not a biased investigation. The police have the right to stop and inspect my vehicle or anyone else’s at any time. Yesterday’s search in the hotel was conducted under videographic surveillance, based on a tip-off that cash was being brought in for the election. Delays in the inspection may have allowed for lapses, making it difficult to confirm if the money was present or not.”

He further pressed for an inquiry into the delay in police action. He noted that rooms of leaders like T.V. Rajesh and Vijin were also inspected, arguing that no one should be exempt from scrutiny. Sarin alleged, “The spectacle that unfolded, along with live broadcasts and misinformation, is a calculated Congress ploy to mislead the public. The information about the incoming money was leaked from within Congress, with no room for dispute.”

Sarin also raised questions about Shafi’s previous electoral victory, claiming it was linked to similar underhanded tactics. “Shafi’s strategy this time also seems to involve concealing cash in an insecure location as part of his modus operandi,” Sarin stated. While he did not confirm the presence of money, he urged the police to identify its source and warned of the larger agenda at play—disrupting the LDF’s chances in the election.
