Pathanamthitta: The head of the house took his own life because of being a victim of online fraud. George Mathew, a native of Elavumthitta, hanged himself. George Mathew was missing for the past three days.
He was found hanging dead during the investigation by the police on the complaint filed by the family. Police recovered a suicide note from his possession. George had written in his suicide note that he had lost Rs 58,000 in online transactions.
He has sent more than Rs 58,000 through Google Pay. But he asked for the money back and did not give it. George has also said in the suicide note that the phone has all the information of the online transaction.
