Palakkad: In the case of murder of Youth Congress worker Naushad at Pudhuveetil in Punna, Chavakkad, three SDPI. Palakkad crime branch police also arrested the activists. In the incident that took place in 2019, more arrests will be made after four years. The police found that the reason for the murder was revenge for the attack on the SDPI workers under the leadership of Naushad.
The 14th accused, Mohammad Shafi and the 15th accused Sheriff (47) of Vatanapally Anavalav Arakveet, were arrested by the Palakkad crime branch team investigating the case. Now the third person arrested is Nasurathullah, who is in jail in a case related to another murder that took place in Thrissur in 2004.
The 12th accused, Nasurathulla, the Thrissur District Jail and recorded his arrest. Sharif was arrested from his house in Patur while Shafi was arrested from his own house on Wednesday morning. Both were produced before the Vadakanchery Magistrate Court and remanded.
The Thrissur Crime Branch team led by DSP M.V. Manikandan, SI K.V. Sudheesh Kumar, Grade SI Gangadharan, ASI Sindhu, Police Driver Pradeep, Chavakkad Inspector Prathapan, and Anti-Terrorist Squad Inspector Jinesh arrested eight people. The Palakkad District Crime Branch team arrested three people. Two more people are yet to be arrested
