Kochi: A Russian national has been arrested for trespassing at the Vallarpadam container terminal. Ilya Ikimov, a Russian citizen, was arrested by Mulavukad police. The arrest was made after trespassing in the high security zone. The police say that the arrested Russian citizen is addicted to drugs.
The incident happened around 6.30 am on Tuesday. The 26-year-old Russian national broke into the high-security zone of the international container transshipment terminal, which is managed by DP World, by jumping over the wall on the east side. Security personnel immediately stopped the Russian national.
