Kochi: ED has demanded that former finance minister Thomas Isaac be summoned for questioning in the KIIFB Masala bond case. Approached the High Court again. But Justices Devan Ramachandran and Eswaran S. moved the hearing of the case to the seventh of this month. and suggested the bench.

ED’s move was just after the election. Earlier, single bench judge TR Ravi had ordered that Isaac should not be summoned for questioning till the election is over. The court also pointed out that he is a candidate. The court had examined the documents submitted by ED to convince him of the need to interrogate Isaac.

ED case is related to expenditure of masala bond. After examining the documents, the court had clarified that some clarifications need to be made in this regard. A bench of Justices A. Muhammad Mushtaq and M. A. Abdul Hakeem had asked why the ED could not wait for the elections in Kerala to end after a few more days, even though the ED had approached the division bench against the single bench order.
